Tonight’s 2nd match triple header of the opening games of the Big East featured local St. John’s against DePaul. It was never really a contest after 5 mins into the game. The Johnnies poured in 49 point in the first half lead by #2 Julian Champagnie’s 22 points.
Although the score was almost equal in the 2nd half, DePaul never had a chance after the 20 point lead St. John’s had at the half. The leading scores were #2 champagnie with 26, and 7 total boards, #3 Stef Smith with 13 points , and #22 Esahia Nyiwe with 10 points and 9 boards
