Winter fun on Long Island!

This past Saturday brought one of the bigger snow storms in recent history on Long Island. We struggled thru Saturday and Sunday, but families on the South Shore in Nassau County got some fun in at Cedar Creek Park in Seaford ,NY . Located just a few block east of Wantagh Parkway and Merrick Road, this Nassau County park offers the Islands famous bike path to Jones Beach , a dog park, numerous soccer and baseball fields, and a roller skating rink, and in winter the Islands favorite place to sled.

This Sunday, however, brought the largest crowd , numbered in the thousands, in many years to the several sledding hills available. Traffic was backed up to the Wantagh Parkway at one point before noon, and every lot was filled to capacity . Here are a few photos to go with the story.
