Sometimes things just come together with the result being a lot of fun. That was the case on Thursday, July 22,2021 when The Friends of the Brothers, an Allman’s tribute band , rocked The Warehouse , live music venue , located at 203 Broadway , Amityville NY 11701, 631-238-1820 . One of owner / operator Kevin Sheehan’s great clubs, the audience that night celebrated the joy of music and companionship, good food and drink.
The band this night was composed of Van Romaine and Lee Finklestein ,drums, Roy DeJesus, bass, Mike Katzman, keyboard, Alan Paul, acoustic guitar and vocals, and of course, Andy Aledort, and Long Island’s phenom, Brandon”Taz” Niederauer. All involved have had long and varied careers in rock music ,and Andy and Alan are book writers with several NY Times best sellers to their credit about the Allman’s and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

The Friends started appox in 2017 after the death of both Greg Allman and Butch Trucks as a tribute band to honor them with a gig in NYC. As time progressed the band morphed into the Friends with a cast of different musicians, some of which are local island staples .
One of the main attractions of this gig was Bradon”Taz” Niederauer , an 18 yrs old from Dix Hills, who is going to Yale this fall to study business. an accomplished guitarist since 8 yrs of age, he earns his nick name from the speed of his hands, and has appeared in various venues and bands.
Lets not forget to mention the crowd at The Warehouse this night! The packed house was full of love of the gift of music, , life and friendship after a long bitter time of the pandemic. We all look forward to more great nights at The Warehouse, with Andy, Taz and The Friends of the Brothers.
